Murphy’s Plate was founded on a simple belief: the food we give our dogs should reflect the love we have for them.
Dogs rely on us for everything—their health, their well-being, and the quality of the food placed in their bowl each day. Murphy’s Plate was created to offer a better option: fresh, thoughtfully prepared meals made with real ingredients and balanced nutrition.
Every meal is made with care, purpose, and respect for the dogs who depend on us.
The Story Behind Murphy’s Plate
Murphy’s Plate is named after Murphy—my first dog, and my best buddy.
He was a scruffy, little mutt with crooked teeth, and I loved him dearly. Like most dog owners, I fed him kibble and didn’t think much about it.
But as his life was nearing its end, I started asking myself a simple question:
What was I really feeding him? What if I had done better by him?
That question stayed with me.
It drove me to learn more, dig deeper into canine nutrition, and take a more thoughtful approach to what goes into a dog’s bowl.
I’m now certified in Basic Canine Nutrition and focus on building balanced, thoughtfully prepared meals for each dog.
What We Do
Murphy was the reason this journey began.
The years that followed—with Nick and eventually with Niko and Kong joining the journey—carried that question forward, turning reflection into research, hands-on formulation, and the foundation of Murphy’s Plate.
Today, every recipe reflects that commitment—meals made from real ingredients, thoughtfully prepared to support health, vitality, and longevity.
Murphy’s legacy lives on in every meal, and in every dog that becomes part of Murphy’s Pack.

Why I Do This
Over time, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when dogs are fed real, thoughtfully prepared food.
One dog, Scout, came in overweight and needed to lose weight safely. After working with Murphy’s Plate and dialing in his portions, he reached his target weight—with his vet very pleased with his progress.
More energy, more play, and a dog that genuinely loves his meals.
